My Plight

I am what you call a non-traditionalist. I prefer to take the road less traveled…the path of MOST resistance.

I love this one life I was given, my family, my friends, sports, and all things random, nostalgic, inspiring and riveting. I love Social Media, too. I’ve struck a healthy balance between level-headedness and off-the-wall.

In April of 2009, I became a product of a down-trodden economy. I’m educated, I’m experienced, I’m professional, and damn it, I’m smart (contrary to what others might tell you). I take on all tasks with pedal to the floor and always try to over-deliver while under-promising. This is how I approached obtaining my Bachelors and Masters Degrees, and it’s how I approached society’s depiction of “the real world.”

My Masters Colloquium

Turns out, all the aforementioned traits and all the education in the world can’t help you avoid downsizing for downsizing’s sake. I was shown the door from one of the most crooked companies I’d ever been part of, with nothing more than a box full of my stuff and a story to tell anyone who’d listen.

I could scream conspiracy theories and wax nepotism, but that horse has been beaten to death. Instead, I put a more positive spin on the situation. The past is the past and there’s no amount of due diligence that can change it. In my eyes, it was time to move on to bigger and better things.

You often hear people say, “If you’re not happy with the way things are, change them.” But I’m willing to bet the farm that the majority of those willing to offer up this sage-like advice are more content venting their frustrations about their jobs, their life, their lot in life, over a couple happy-hour draft specials on Friday night with others who do nothing but fuel the misery instead of heeding their own words.

That ain’t me. I made a decision that, instead of staying on the path of least resistance that had done nothing but pummel me into submission for years and years, I was going to buck the odds and run down a dream. To paraphrase Denis Waitley, it was time to chase my passion instead of my pension.

I spent a year studying, learning, absorbing, implementing, failing, implementing again, failing again, growing from each experience, and developing an understanding of this little phenomenon known as “the Internet.” This led to the creation of LinXone Solutions.

LinXone Solutions - The Web Presence Architects

LinXone Solutions is an Internet Marketing agency in Pittsburgh that I own and operate with my business partner Jason Collins. We specialize in Social Media Management, Inbound Marketing, and helping companies build their web presence in a day and age where living without one is asinine. We take pride in raising awareness of the power of a strong Internet presence, providing education on how print mediums are on life support, and helping companies make the transition to the new revolution in marketing themselves and their business.

I’m a normal guy on an abnormal path…at least if you belong to the school of traditional thought. We are pre-programmed by society and educational systems to believe there’s one true path to take as we enter “the real world.” And to that, I say this: Sometimes a long trip down the bumpiest of roads without a pre-planned course of travel can get you to the most satisfying of destinations. Don’t be detoured by the detour.

Get to know me. Find me on Social Media because I’m all over it.

I promise you…I’m a pretty interesting guy.
