On January 7th, 2010 at 9:41pm, our lives changed forever and the world had its newest inhabitant. Mackenna Elaine came to us on a snowy night in Western Pennsylvania. While cars traveled slowly to their destinations on ice-slicked roads (most likely bouncing off other parked vehicles because, well…it’s Pittsburgh and most people act like they’ve never seen a snowflake), we were welcoming a little miracle into our lives.
